Lichen, hand dyed on luxury merino, yak and silk fingering yarn. The sheen and drape lend itself very well to a shawl or jumper.
Yarn: 60% Superwash Merino,
20% Silk, 20% Yak
Colourway: Lichen
Fingering /4 ply
Length: 366m per 100g
The merino is sourced from farms in Argentina and Uruguay that do not practise mulesing. Silk is a natural protein fibre with a shimmering appearance. The yak fibre used is the soft fine underhair of the animal's coat - its warmth and breathability enables the yak to survive the cold temperatures of the Himalayas. It's an ethical alternative to the highly prized cashmere.
Please note, while this is a fingering/4 ply yarn, socks created with this yarn may not be hard-wearing, owing to the lack of nylon, or high twist.

Hand wash in room temperature water with a tiny amount of wool appropriate soap. Do not soak or wring items, and dry flat to ensure your finished item does not lose its shape.
